Compare what each maker publishes, and treat what neither publishes as equal. Then decide on the two things that are never in a specification: what is in the box, and whether it can be played where you live.
Compare like for like
Key count with action type. Socket count with simultaneous inputs. Watts with speaker size. A specification without its qualifier is not a comparison.
Then the two unwritten things
Box contents, and whether the instrument suits your room and your hours. Both decide use more than any published figure.
When it is genuinely a tie
Take the one whose maker sells the spare parts. That is what decides which is still working in five years.
The questions players ask
What if one publishes more than the other?
That is information in itself — makers publish the figures that flatter them. It does not make the quieter listing worse, and it does make it unknown.
Do prices tell me anything?
Within a family, roughly. Across markets, no — the same reference in this catalog varied by more than double between stores.
