Is a starter pack worth buying?

Yes, when the amplifier inside it is made by the same company as the instrument. The best packs bundle a real practice amp; the weakest bundle an unbranded box that gets replaced within a year.

A pack is two products

An instrument that can last years, and accessories that vary from useful to disposable. Judging a pack means judging both halves, and they are rarely of the same quality.

The European advantage

A pack carries its own EAN and is sold as one product across the European stores. Several packs in our catalog carry one reference across five or six markets, which a hand-assembled equivalent would not.

The thing to budget for anyway

A setup. Every guitar at this price leaves the factory with generic action and intonation, and an hour of adjustment changes more than any accessory in the box.

The questions players ask

What in a pack gets replaced first?

The strings within weeks, the picks immediately, and the cheapest amplifiers within a year. The guitar, the bag and the strap usually stay.

When should I buy separately?

When you already own the amp, the stand or the headphones — paying for a second one inside a bundle is the only way a pack loses.
