A short piece, played slowly, with no expectation of it sounding finished. Songs learned at half speed become songs; songs attempted at full speed become frustration.
What slows everyone down
An instrument that is uncomfortable, out of tune, or in another room. All three are fixable, and all three cost more progress than talent ever does.
