Construction
Spring-loaded coil, described as tangle-free and stretchable. The only coiled cable on this shelf (maker’s bullet)
Durability
Stated tested to withstand 15,000+ bends. No other listing on this shelf publishes a bend count (maker’s bullet)

Named compatibility
OneOdio Pro10, Pro30 and Pro50 headphones, named in the title alongside amplifiers, keyboards and mixers

  • A coil takes up the slack itself: the length is there when you step back and gone when you do not
  • The only listing on this shelf that publishes a durability figure at all — 15,000 bends and over
  • A coil pulls: on a light headphone or a desk stand it drags the plug sideways

Best for: A player who moves between a seat and an amplifier, where a straight lead would lie on the floor.

A coiled lead, 6.35 mm (0.25 in) at one end and 3.5 mm (0.14 in) at the other, 6.6 to 9.8 feet depending on how far you have walked. 24k gold-plated. Stated tested to 15,000+ bends. Red. $9.99.

Two things here exist nowhere else on this shelf.

The first is the coil. Every other cable on this shelf is one fixed length, which means it is either too short or lying on the floor. A coil is both: short when you are sitting at the amplifier, long when you step away, and back to short on its own. That is the whole case for it, and it is a real one for anyone who moves while playing.

The second is the bend figure. A cable fails where the wire leaves the plug — the shelf’s own reasoning puts that bend ahead of the conductor — and 15,000 bends and over is a maker publishing a test instead of an adjective. It is the only durability number on this shelf. It is also the maker’s own test, not a measurement made here, and it is quoted as such.

The coil has a cost, and it is constant. A spring pulls on both plugs all the time, which is fine on a 1/4-inch socket in an amplifier and less fine on a light headphone or a desk stand, where it drags the plug to one side. The listing names OneOdio Pro10, Pro30 and Pro50 headphones specifically, which are heavy enough not to care — and that naming is itself unusual: no other cable here names the thing it was designed for.

Two gaps. The listing says stereo and never says TS or TRS, and on this shelf that distinction has its own page. And the color is red, where everything else here is black: useful on a stage, conspicuous on a desk.

The product record gives 499 g (17.6 oz), which is 1.1 lb almost exactly — the shipping bucket, not a weighed cable. Nothing on this page is ranked on it.

The questions players ask

Why choose a coiled cable?

Because it manages its own slack. A straight lead is one length: too short when you step back, in a loop on the floor when you do not. A coil is 6.6 feet at rest and 9.8 feet when pulled, and it returns. On a stage that is the difference between a cable that gets trodden on and one that does not. The cost is tension — a coil is always pulling gently on both plugs, which is why it suits a headphone with weight to it rather than a light one, and why the 15,000 bend figure is a reasonable thing for this maker to publish.

What does a bend count tell me?

Where cables die. A lead fails at the point where the wire leaves the plug, because that is where the bending is concentrated, and the shelf’s own reasoning puts the strain-relief boot ahead of the conductor. A published figure — 15,000 bends and over — is a manufacturer stating a test rather than describing durability in adjectives, and nothing else on this shelf publishes one. It is a maker’s claim about a maker’s test; it is not a measurement made here, and it says nothing about how the cable behaves after a decade in a bag.
