Into the headphone socket on the drum module, not into anything on the pads. Check the socket size before ordering headphones: modules vary between 6.35 mm and 3.5 mm, and the adapter is the part people are missing on day one.
The module is the hub
Everything — pads, pedals, headphones, aux in, outputs — meets at the module. Nothing plugs into the pads except their trigger cables.
Check the socket size
Six point three five millimeters on many modules, 3.5 mm (0.14 in) on some compact ones. An adapter costs almost nothing and stops a first session dead when it is absent.
Cable length
Long enough to reach without pulling. A short lead on a drum kit is a lead that gets caught by your own arms.
The questions players ask
Can I play along with music?
Yes — most modules have an aux input, so a phone or laptop plays into the same headphone mix as the kit.
Do bundled headphones matter?
They get you playing on the first evening. Two kits in our catalog include a pair, and both are a starting point rather than a destination.
